Absolutely love it. Full of great pictues...so much creative information for the mind. Great addition to my Star Wars stuff.Content really brings forth additional knowledge you do not get by simply watching Star Wars movies alone, Sith Pure Bloods and the Battle for Korriban for example.Recommend - Quality at reasonable price.

To start, I was very skeptical on buying these. I was unsure if I actually wanted to read any of these, and the $60 price tag was scaring me away fast. But, a good friend told me these books were amazing so I bought them. Well boy was it worth it. These books are absolutely stunning. The quality with the hard cover is second to none. There is so much detail put into each of these four books. The read is very fun. It adds a unique and cool style to each side of said book. My favorite read out of the four would have to be the imperial handbook. I would definitely recommend getting these books if you are interested in a deeper explanation in the star wars universe.

This is a great collection of Star Wars lore books! I saw the Imperial Handbook at a local store and was surprised when I went to order it on Amazon that there were three other books! The books are just the right size and come in a handy little box that keeps them all together. I love the illustrations and the overall presentation of these books. My favorite? The Imperial Handbook.

One side of the box was warped slightly, but Otherwise arrived in great condition. Perfect for introducing someone into the Star Wars Universe. Very fast and easy reads that any person over age 10 should be able to comprehend fully. Interesting enough to keep older readers engaged.

As a fan, it had some awesome explanations on some long questioned ideals. Imperial handbook is a little bland but it’s more militaristic in its approach. Loved the Bounty hunter’s code, Jedi handbook and the Book of the Sith. Great for any SW fan!

Brad Thor’s plots are always timely but “Spymaster” is eerily so. A subversive plan by Russia to pull the U.S. into a war in the Baltic region by attacking a small NATO ally, is well within the bounds of credibility. Scarily so. Scott Harvath is tasked with conducting counter measures to thwart the plan. He puts together a crack team using some long-time operators and a few new ones that appear to have the same fire in the belly drive that he does. Thor pulls no punches about his conservative political views and that’s okay by me as long as he doesn’t go off the deep end and get too preachy. I rather liked the more mature philosophical Harvath, who is questioning his own ambitions and expectations for the near and the more remote future. In this 18th book of Scott Harvath’s adventures, Thor has crafted a complex and gripping plot that we can only hope remains firmly in the fictional category because having it become a reality is just too scary to fathom.

This is a very, very good new novel from Mr. Thor. Completely aligned with the current headlines political issues. It is somewhat frightening in that Mr. Thor seems to have a better grip on global geopolitics than any of our current elected representatives. Spy Master tugs at the frightening and still unresolved issues at the heart of the U.S. intelligence community, and raises the critical question of whether our current government agencies are still capable of competing in the modern world of espionage. I think that, ultimately, his answer is that they cannot. I have no background in intelligence ops, but I tend to agree, based on a lot of reading I have done. In my mind, the question that hangs over this novel is whether the Blackwater (now named something else) model is any better? What about accountability. The crux of the Horvath novels is that he, alone (with a competent but small team of specialists) can reliably solve world-shaking issues. I'm not sure that is realistic. But this makes for a great novel! Many of us have seen the video of contractors shooting innocent (?) people from a helicopter in Iraq and laughing about it. Perhaps they weren't all innocent, but the ones attempting to rescue the wounded didn't deserve to be obliterated by gunfire. In our current asymmetric warfare endeavors, which are ongoing in about 133 countries, the boundary between aggressor and defender is nebulous. This concerns me greatly, because our incursion into so many countries, especially in Africa, is not making us any friends. Just review history to see how previous interference in other countries' affairs has worked out for us.OK, enough political stuff. Back to the novel. I bonded with the characters, especially the new addition, Jasinski, and, although the novel was too long for me to read in one sitting, I definitely wanted to! I would say that this is one of Thor's best. Warning: here is a cliff-hanger ending. But that only means that we can at least expect one more novel featuring Scot Horvath.

I have read every book in this series. And it's good to see that the author is showing the evolution and growth of Scot. He's gotten older and now having to rely on his team and instincts. No longer is he the superman but he's still awesome. The story is good and involves the Russians and their ability to manipulate elections and NATO countries. This book is consistent with present day current events. It's intriguing and there's a bit of a cliffhanger ending. This just sits up the next book in this series.

What sets Thor apart from so many in this genre is his ability to keep it real. Some of his plots and subplots seem torn from actual headlines and real world events. It's no small feat, especially in this day and age, and he does it seamlessly. That aspect alone pulls in the reader to a deeper experience than most novelists can.Horvath and his elite team are presented and explored as warriors we actually hope exist, rather than as impossible caricatures of Rambo, and this is where Thor really shines. You don't just root for Harvath and his team of elite manhunters, you fall almost in step with them. His deft ability to humanize every character, good and bad, is just unparalleled. In Spymaster, the character Chase is especially intriguing, and Thor blends him in to the story so well that you just believe he's real, or at least that, like Harvath, just his name has been changed to protect his real life counterpart's true identity.Spymaster is the 18th book in the Harvath series, yet, every book is fresh and enthralling. That is a Herculean achievement in and of itself. You can't put it down, and you can't wait for the next installment. Thor does his homework, and so the world his characters operate in is utterly believable.Step into Harvath's world for a while, and take a break from ours. You'll feel like you were on the mental vacation of a lifetime.

Nobody likes cliffhangers. The non-ending of this book completely makes it a waste of time to read. It's a cheap unprofessional trick to make people buy the next book. I shall not I'm done with Brad Thor. I read all of the other books I will read him no more. he should retire.

Any book Brad Thor writes keeps the secrets and excitement flowing and hard to put down for any length of time. His stories reflect modern day problems heard on the news and news talk programs. I have recommended this book to friends telling them that they won’t be disappointed. Keep writing Brad!

These novels always give me a break from reality and provide a relaxing and entertaining way to spend some downtime. The book kept moving and kept you thinking. Brad Thor’s novels are always a fun and enjoyable read. The ending left open another door for the next episode as Scot and the Company transition into a new era.

The tracing part is okay. But the matching images are ridiculous: R for Retro Car, W for Walking Boat, Y for Yellow Boat (with a black and white picture) .And the kicker: X for X-Mas Sleigh .Only 5.99 but it's going back.

Not happy about this purchase for a four year old. I bought it to use for exactly what the description said it was intended for. I opened the book and was shocked what was inside. First page said “Eat a bag of dicks. A swear word coloring book for adults”Be Careful what you buy it may not be what you wanted.

I'm not sure it's right to deduct one star from this product for the following reason, but I am. All of the noun words with the pictures are related to things that move. And some of the words are rather obscure just to fit the theme (see photos). I would have preferred words used more often for learning. However, the front does say On the Go in smaller letters and has all vehicle images. If you look at the image of the back of the book provided by the seller, you can see the on the move words and photos. I just didn't notice when purchasing. I was just focused on alphabet and sight words. Also, it would have been nice to make the pages perforated so the pages could be torn out for easier writing.

Extreamly Helpful for children, especially for those who have never been in a daycare or pre-school. Grandson loves all of the cool colors as he puts it and is learning words and sounds of words!! Great Book!!!

Bought for my 2.6 year old granddaughter, I think she is a tad to young for these. But she will be ready before I know it. Nice books.

The book is OK. The letters are fine, except the lowercase L. I don't know what schools are teaching today, but I was surprised to see it just as a vertical bar.Another complaint is the strange nouns chosen for the letters. I get it's a vehicle theme, but x is for x-mas sleigh or l is for liner?Regardless of my complaints, I cut the book up and presented my son with what I wanted him to have and am finding the tracing pieces valuable.

Super cute tracing book for my preschooler. I didn’t realize that this is geared for boys. It has pictures of trucks or cars on each page. My little girl doesn’t seem to notice or care, but just an FYI.

Daughter doesn't seem all that interested, but I think it's just that she would rather play with toys. There are some great activities in the book.

This book was required for a class I took and from working within the IT field this books is extremely basic and the case studies are very elementary. I would not recommend this book for anyone serious about cloud computing. Rather as another reviewer stated content is best suited for middle school.

This book was required for a management course I was taking. May be more appropriate for middle school or high school. "Case Studies" in the book aren't actually case studies, just links to product websites. Provides a very basic overview of what cloud computing is, but definitely introductory and it does not appear the author has any actual experience in this area.

Background: IT professional 30 years. Cloud knowledgeable, but certainly no expert. Bought this book because it appeared to cover all the angles: PaaS, SaaS, IaaS, Virtualization, etc. I was hoping to get new perspectives and perhaps a bit of substance.As you might imagine, I have purchased a ton of technical books over the years. There have been some books that were outstanding, and others that were just OK but had those few nuggets in them that I couldn't find elsewhere. All I can say about this book is that it was a real disappointment. As the description suggests, this book covers all of the buzzwords ... it just failed to provide any substance. There was insufficient background on any topic at a high level to help a cloud novice build a foundation ... too much assumption on the author's part. And given all the assumption, neither was there depth on any topic that someone more informed might hope to find to become more well-versed in the topic.Never have I seen a book that devotes such a high percentage of its content to screen shots from vendors' websites (Amazon, Google, VMware, and the list goes on and on) ... probably 20% of the book. Never have I seen a book "pretend" to be a textbook when it wasn't ("review this website ... discuss. answer these questions.") Then there was the abundance of fluff that was not terribly pertinent to the conversation (a section on "Business Economics 101" ... really?) Finally, never have I seen a publication take so many pages to say so little of substance on the topic at hand. In my opinion, the entire book could have been reduced to one lengthy magazine article and been far more effective.Last point: I have never felt so strongly about a book (good or bad) to want to take the time to write a review like this ... but with a $60+ price tag, I felt obligated to speak up. This one will go to my "give away" pile rather than my reference shelf.

I am by no means a cloud expert but this book (especially at this price) provides too little information. It is already out of date and while the book is decently organized according to topic, the actual material in the chapters is a little disorganized (especially past chapter 6). While the book has a companion website with power points and corresponding quizes to go with it some of the quiz questions have the wrong answers listed and there is no way to contact the author to correct it. You would be much better off finding articles in technical journals that discuss the topics of this book than by reading said book. I got this book for a class I was taking and you get the distinct impression that this book was produced just so the publisher could say "look we have a text book on cloud computing." This text is strictly for those who have no idea what cloud computing is and have no desire to simply google the topic. If you want to learn about cloud computing either start goggling SaaS, IaaS, and PaaS or look for a better text book.

This is a pamphlet about cloud computing stretched out to book length. There is so little material in this book that you'd learn more from 5 minutes on a Wikipedia article. The little information that managed to sneek into this blatent cash grab is out of date. This book wasn't worth the free shipping.

Great overview and application of knowledge to case studies.

Didn't find anything in this book that 5 minutes with Google would not have provided me with.I don't anticipate this being a big seller outside of to those who are required to get it for a class.

Close to the Bone is an absolute blessing for anyone going through a life-threatening illness and a saving grace for those who love and support that person. Dr. Bolen goes deeply into the psychological and spiritual components of a challenging illness and brings the light and warmth of understanding and compassion. Her use of mythological stories is brilliant and will change the way you look at a hospital stay.If you are sitting by the bed of a loved one, this is the book you should have near at hand.

Great for anyone going through an illness or knows someone who is.

I chose this book because if have liked the way Jean Shinoda Bolen thinks. The diffidulties and joys of life illustrated in myth gave a broader context in which to see one's place in the world.

Early in this beautiful book, Jean Shinoda Bolen reminds us that the Chinese pictograph for "crisis" contains the ideograms for both "danger" and "opportunity." I've worked with clients who deal with life-threatening illness, and it is almost invariably true that this experience raises important "soul-evoking" questions. To explore those questions is inevitably healing, whether in body, spirit, or both.As with any major crisis in life, we can either view the glass as half-empty, or see the gift that we are offered: the opportunity to re-examine our priorities, our relationships, and to do the soul-work that brings true meaning to life. Illness forces us to deal with "what we know in our bones" that we may have so far denied -- ways in which we are unhappy and/or self-destructive.And those of us who do not have life-threatening illness can learn from those who do. As Bolen points out, "Life is a terminal condition, after all." So we can all benefit from answering the questions she poses: "What are we here for... What did we come to learn... What and who did we come here to love?"

This book is unlike any other I have read. The author is a Jungian analyst and clinical professor of psychiatry. To quote the book jacket, she "weaves myth, experience, and story to produce a book which at once illuminates the experience of the seriously ill patient and shows that facing one's mortality can be a life-transforming, and even a life-saving process". At a time when I was recovering from life-threatening illness myself, I heard the author speak at a lecture in Vancouver, and I found her use of classical myth as an allegory for illness to be quite effective. My friend Russell borrowed this book from me a few weeks before he died from cancer, and in a written note he described it as "the right book at the right time".

As a businesswoman seeking to ensure that the daily demands of running a successful organization do not impede my ability to live a life of integrity, I seek to read books that inspire me to find joy in daily living. As I read this book, I was in awe of the stories of the survivors who have found life that much more as a result of their experiences in dealing with terminal illness. I applaud Dr. Bolen's wisdom in sharing the challenges that make a healthy person realize how weak we are in comparison to these heroes who live so richly in spite of events. I found the book a great joy and, in fact, am reading it again - just in case I missed something the first time. I am positioning myself to "recreate" myself in a 2nd career and this book inspired me to think of using my skills in some way to assist women who find themselves dealing with their own terminal illness or the illness of a loved one.

No doubt I would recommend this book. It gave me courage, grace and serenity to embrace the unknown. Thank you!
