I enjoyed this book, had a little bit of a slower start then some others. Maybe it felt that way after Shade's Fall and King which were a hard act to follow. Secondary characters were great. Once their love story kicked this book sizzled. I also would like to say I really liked Rachel in the previous book and I felt her brothers and Cash didn't treat her in the beginning with the respect she deserved. The epilogue for me was just much too little and didn't excuse the hurt that they caused IMO. Still a good read that I would reread in the future.

Rachel has 4 problems. 3 of them are her overprotective pot growing brothers. The 4th is her crush on Cash. Cash is a member of the local MC, The Last Riders. She doesn't even ping his radar. Plus, he has a whole clubhouse to choose from. Trying to keep her brothers out of trouble is a full time job. I loved Rachel she was nice and giving, but boy did she have fire! Sometimes she gave to much. Cash never wants to settle down. He lives Sex, and refuses to change his life style. He's the number one enemy of the Porter brothers. When he finally decides what he wants, Rachel has nothing left to give. Great book!

I guess you can say that I was trying to decide if I was going to like this book or not. After reading the sample, I decided to give it a chance. I really liked Rachel ! And there is something about cash. Plus the chemistry between Rachel and cash is undeniable! He is definitely alapha male to the core. And I love the scenes that he threw Rachel over his shoulder and took her his bed. I love how Rachel stood up for friends and how she healed people. And of course the porters boys!!! Plus I loved the wedding! As Rachel says it was shotgun wedding! And she is definitely pregnant!! I can't until the next book!!!!

Why did I like this book well who wouldn't I love Jamie Begley's Last Rider Series, Cash is a hot alpha male who is a bad ass but will do anything to protect those he cares for, Rachell is one smart, strong independent women who takes no s*** off Cash I love the battle between these two . it has an HEA which I love . its funny ,and you still get to read what the rest of The Last Riders are up to!

I love this series but I did not like this book. Not to say that it wasn't written well or didn't have a good meaty plot, I just hated the hero. There was nothing about Cash that I liked. Mainly the way he treated women and some of the insensitive things he did to Rachel. He didn't deserve Rachel and I was happy to see that she made him really work for it. In the end she did give in to him but he'd had to really prove himself to her.

I really enjoyed the story of Cash and Rachel.. it was great to see Cash fall for the girl who always had him in her sights. One of the things I love about this series is the opportunity to see other characters that we are familiar with (especially Shade). I love how the sisterhood between the Last Riders is also growing with each new addition to the series.

What can I say I'm hooked on these man-whores!! The story was interesting, sex scenes were hot, and her lack of knowledge on birth control hilarious 😂 AND finally Rachael didn't just take Cash's 💩.

Man that was hard to rate. Wanted to love it but could only say I really liked it. Shade by far was my favorite but all have been good. A totally different kind of read and take on a club with members who change when they meet the one. Loved lead female but didn't feel the male lead character was as developed as the past reads.

I love Jamie Begley's talent at creating a story. She is a fantastic story teller and I always bond so effortlessly with her characters. Cash's Fight was thrilling and I loved every minute of it!

The book does give u a general idea of Maths involved in BME, but imho, this book offers poor explanations, way too many errors, not enough details/info on various topics. I wouldn't waste my money on this.

The book was in a fine condition. The only problems were a few tears on the edges which were mostly covered up by a cheap book cover.

The authors of this textbook have little skill in writing or editing their own work. The chapters are filled with examples that have blatantly incorrect answers, which only serves to confuse. Did anyone writing this care to double-check their work? Students are better off using Wikipedia. The sample codes provided frequently do not function or require a great amount of revision to work at all. Lazy writing, lazy editing, lazy presentation.

Once I get to the end of one of these books it feels like this huge accomplishment. Mostly because they are really so very dense and maybe it is close to 1000 pages but it seems like so much more.It took a lot to get to where we were going in this book. Mainly the overall arc is that Tevore and the Malazan’s are going to march into the desert to fare Sharik and her appocolyptic sands. So that is where the various lines all converge by the end of the story. It took a long time to get there and at the end I will say that again most of my feelings are bittersweet. At least this one didn’t gut my insides out like the previous two books but again there seems to be no such thing as a happy ending when you are in the world of the Malazans.I’m really never sure where the book is going to take me and this one again starts off with a culture and people that we don’t really seem to know. Karsa Orlong how I hated you. This started as a really difficult read because I completely hated Karsa and his cultural ways. It was difficult to real all of Book I since it was just about him and his beginnings to where we left off in Deathhouse Gates. The good news is that even though I still don’t like him per say I was rooting for him later in the book. His character went through a lot of changes so by the end of this book I grew to enjoy his arc and I have high hopes for him. “You have learned much, Karsa Orlong." "I have, T'lan Imass. As you shall witness.”The good news about travelling with Tevore and the Malazans is that we get to be with what is left of the Bridgeburners, Coltain’s wounded that were saved and some of the other wiccan clans. I don’t really like Tevore if only for what she was prepared to do to her sister. So while she isn’t my favorite I did love being with Strings a.k.a. Fiddler and some other all stars from the prior books.Sharik, Heboric, Felisin and a slew of others had an strange and interesting tale. I will say that while Sharik wasn’t my favorite I did like Heboric and Felisin the younger quite a bit. Heboric’s change in this was actually one of my favorite parts since I really did want the once priest to find purpose again and it seems that maybe another god saw something in him too. But the most memorable point driven home again was that if in a fantasy world of any kind never drink the tea, it doesn’t go well fore anyone. Just ask Alice, Nynaeve, Egwene or the ever murderous Marquel.There is some stuff with Apsalar and Crocus but they didn’t get a lot of time and in the end I didn’t really understand what happened between them. But the crazy dude who is a priest for Shadowthrone in middle of the desert and his many spidered wife are hilarious. So I did enjoy when they ended up there.There is the big buildup going into the end and then it sort of fizzled out when we were supposed to get a big battle. I know that SE did it like that on purpose but still I guess I just wanted a bigger battle sequence after all that time getting to it. Don’t get me wrong there is still some very cool stuff that happens and I especially liked what happened to the Dog Killers but I wanted Tevore and Sharik’s story line to end a little differently I guess.One of the more followable books in the series for me. I can now see what everyone has been going on and on about for all this time. I am hooked and I now need more! So yes I will be continuing this series, and I can’t wait! I know more greatness awaits and I am highly anticipating the journey to come.Overall a great read. I was entertained, I loved the epic sprawling world created here, and I want to go right into the next book and get more from this series. This might not be for everyone but after starting this series, I know it is for me. A magnificent read. The only thing I can think to describe it is a mind blowing. Everything is just so rich and complex, and such a joy to wrap your mind around.I loved the first three books, and this one is great as well. I keep thinking the change of locations, story lines, and characters are gong to lessen these books, but they never do. Such fantastic and intriguing characters. That reminds me of a question I always seem to get asked when I post these reviews. Who are your favorite characters from this book? So a new section in my Malazan reviews. FAVORITE CHARACTERS FROM THIS BOOK: This book to me is all Karsa Orlong! And I am good with that. An awesome character! A new Sword and Sorcery hero. You all now how much that appeals to me. I wanted to love this book - I started the series with the highest hopes, I fell in love with some of the characters, cried when they died... but the series kept getting more and more convoluted - more and more substories, subplots, intrigues... with so many gods to keep up with, so many characters, the jumping around from person to person... I honestly just lost track. It became a chore to finish. I DID finish.. I think there is only one book in my life I haven't finished... but back to this one... to be honest... I was so lost, so confused, I just started scanning.. and when I got to a character or group of characters I could remember and recognize, I would enjoy the author's great writing ... he is one of my favorite authors... but honestly... it was too much... just too much. I couldn't handle it.

Love this book! It is so beautiful. The pictures are fantastic. I gave this to my daughter as a gift and she has read it and looked through it over and over. She has used it many times as reference for different plays she is working on.

Love, love, love! This book is amazing! Not only is it inspiring on a creative level, but I love how she wrote in what products she uses to achieve makeup looks. A lot of makeup artists don't share what products they use or tips on how they create certain makeup looks, and here she puts in step by step tutorials. This is definitely a must have for any makeup artist at any level!

Lots of spelling errors, but I don't think anyone is buying it for the literature. Such great art, tips, and ideas.

Watchmen is, in my opinion, the greatest literary achievement of the greatest comic writer ever. In the mid 1980’s DC Comics reached its absolute artistic peak. From 1984 to 1986 DC handed Swamp Thing over to Alan Moore, released Crisis on Infinite Earths, published Frank Miller’s Dark Knight Returns and in one final magnificent achievement gave to the world Alan Moore’s Watchmen. I was 15 years old when Watchmen was published and it was an absolutely mind blowing series. This is a REALLY dark story and I mean that in the sense that it can be downright depressing particularly for someone raised on superhero comics.There are currently three different versions of Watchmen books currently available. There is the Absolute Edition which I own but have never actually unwrapped. It’s more of a collectible for me and the giant size of the Absolute Editions make them unwieldy for a little bedtime reading. There is the paperback version which is easily the least expensive and there is the Deluxe Edition. The Deluxe Edition hits the sweet spot. With a hardbound cover it’s more durable, the quality of the paper is much higher than in the paperback and the colors are more vibrant. The Absolute Edition may be the pièce de résistance of Watchmen books but I’d rather curl up with the second best looking book if it means holding 2.2 pounds rather than 5.9. The Deluxe Edition contains 32 pages of extra material not present in the paperback edition including sketches and notes on Watchmen. It’s not super thrilling but it’s nice to have some extras.Watchmen is the greatest usage of the comic medium I have ever seen. Creating a 12 issue mini-series is a difficult task in trying to pace out the story but Alan Moore’s nails it. The story perfectly fits, never drags and never feels rushed. It’s like every panel and every sentence is crucial to the story. Perhaps Alan Moore’s crowning achievement is the creation of Adrian Veidt who is in my opinion the greatest adversary in the history of comics. Comics are rife with hyper intelligent super villains and heroes, the problem is they are written by non-hyper intelligent writers. Adrian Veidt is the first comic character that legitimately seemed to be on an intelligence level beyond the rest. I never felt that way reading Lex Luthor or Doctor Doom or Brainiac. I encourage people to read all the extra material that appear between issues to get an even greater sense of Veidt.Veidt may be the crowning achievement of Alan Moore but it’s hard to argue that the Comedian, Dr. Manhattan and Rorschach aren’t his near equal in amazingness. Some may find one or more of them to be superior to Veidt. Rorschach in particular shows the strength of Moore in that he was capable of creating a compelling and sympathetic character despite having the polar opposite political views. Right leaning writers like Frank Miller and Steve Ditko would never EVER being capable of giving a left leaning hero such honest treatment. Not in a million years. Dr. Manhattan is as close as any writer has come to creating a character who exists beyond space and time. Grant Morrison did a pretty good job with Captain Atom in Multiversity but Dr. Manhattan remains the king.Any comic fan who has never read Watchmen is missing out on the greatest graphic novel ever. This is a book I could read every year for the rest of my life and I have no doubt I would be amazed with each reading. It’s nearly 30 years since its publication and nothing has even approached it. I always search for the next Alan Moore and I never find one. Even the recent works of Moore have moved further and further away from the quality of Watchmen. Maybe we have seen the best there will ever be and maybe this is the most reasonable version given price and portability. If so go buy it. NOW!!!

Describing Watchmen is very hard. The story itself is less important than the themes that story unearths and the backdrop. Watchmen is about morality, it's about politics, it's about humanity, it's about what being a superhero is, it's about comics in general, and it's about power. I don't want to put down the plot, but like art-films, you don't read this for the story. You read it for the elegance through which the themes are developed. It's a slow burn story that packs one hell of a punch in the end, but isn't necessarily something you'll care about for the majority of the book.The big question is whether it's a good place to start in comics. I wouldn't recommend this as the first thing you pick up due to how dark it is, and how you should have some idea of how comics function normally to see how well they're being subverted and twisted here. Of course, since pop culture is stuffed full of superheroes right now it's not something you really need to worry about if it is the first thing you pick up.The biggest problem that would stand if you picked this up for the first time is that it doesn't really introduce you to the wider world of DC comics. Yes, it's a wonderful story, and if you want to add diversity to your shelf and play around in the corners of the comics world, it's wonderful. But if you want to read superhero comics and want an introduction to that world, this is the wrong place to go. I do understand there was a set of prequel comics released at one point, but they aren't written by Alan Moore (and he actually hates that they happened, if I understand it correctly) and didn't last very long. I, personally, have no plans to read them since I'm not really interested in seeing what happened before this book.My opinion of the whole graphic novel: wow it was amazing! It was not what I expected but I loved it all the way through. In no way did I expect it to take me this long to read, and it does disappoint me that it did, but every second really was a pleasure. If it's been something you've debated I recommend picking it up sooner rather than later, even if it's just from your library.TL;DR? It's not the best place to start, but is a wonderful book I recommend everyone read at some point in their lives.

There is very little I can add to the reviews - stellar or otherwise - about Alan Moore's _the Watchmen_ in terms of plot synopsis and cultural impact. When I was a boy, I loved reading comics, but the larger questions (were one to do away with the suspension of belief) are never asked. In the _Watchmen_ Moore raises some really intriguing questions: what is it that makes a person become a "super hero?" "What happens after all the bad guys are defeated? Where do you go - and who are you now?" And most intriguing of all, "what if there were a superhero of supernatural strength, intelligence or power? How would this change international dynamics?"The characters and their origin stories are archetypal - a family tragedy, a scientific accident, a wealthy magnate seeking to do good ... the human side of these super-heroes is what made this such an enjoyable and intriguing read for me: how power and fame warped some, how the government sought to manipulate and use these people, and what happens to them when they inevitably get old?The conclusion was a bit of a let-down - it felt to me as if Moore had written himself into a corner and wasn't sure how to get out of it; that said, the characters remained true to their nature; perhaps given the story arc there was no other way to wrap things up. To his credit, Moore didn't "cheat" readers with a last-minute change of heart of a sudden catharsis that took characters in a different direction in order to provide a happy, tidy ending.For comic book fans, this is a must read. As a cultural touch-stone and commentary on the nature of power and reflection of 20th century western values and mores, its an interesting commentary. For those seeking a fun and entertaining read, this will be a hit.
