I really like the idea of this book. In use, however, it ended up being useless. The descriptions of where the pictographs actually are was incredibly lacking in precision. When some of these pictographs are quite faded and the area where the pictograph is (rock face) is, sometime, hundreds of meters long, your chance of finding these can statistically approach zero.Also, the author has decided to show the pictures of the pictographs, with only the pictograph itself showing and none of the surrounding rock. So, of course, the images in the book stand out quite well, with the pictograph being rock and the background being a nice even grey. In the real world, there's no way to see how these pictographs stand out against the real rock they're on.On our trip through Quetico we passed by 6 different pictograph sites and saw zero pictographs. One description was something like "on the rock, near the water, where the arrow is pointing on the map". In this instance, the island on the map was rather small and the real island was about 750m long and the whole east side of the island was rock face.Again, I like the idea of the book but the descriptions of pictograph location could be greatly improved. Certainly, now, he could do GPS coordinates. I understand not putting the GPS coords in the book, as actually finding it myself with the crude description would have been a great treat, but heck, throw us a bone. Also, there has to be a better way of showing the pictograph so it might help others find it.That said, some of the history and stories given are quite interesting. If it weren't for that and I didn't like the idea of this book so much it would have been 1-star.

Interesting book with lots of information about the native Americans believed to have made the drawings. I plan to check out a few of the sites this summer.GPS coordinates would be nice, but are not included.

I would very much enjoy canoeing to see these rock paintings.

Interesting information and descriptions about the Ojibway red ochre paintings and their meanings, and lore. It added greatly to my adventure observing these pictographs first-hand.

The subject Dr. Rickman covers here is critical, and he delivers important points for study and consideration. However his negativity, name calling and demeaning of those he disagrees with are as anti-scriptural as are the theological points he disagrees with. This seriously detracts from the quality and impact of the work. I pray God use it nonetheless to stimulate true biblical search and research among His children.

I first met Calvinist at a church in Tyler Texas several years ago. At the time i was a new member there and it was not long the pastor resigned and moved to Arizona to be a pastor at another church there. Later i realized that the Calvinist was destroying the church. This book armed me to deal with those brothers in Christ. I can assure you that after reading it you will have a good answer for the Calvinist. Buy this book because you will love it. Also buy any material from my brother.

I love all the books in this series. The Tulip sniffers will hate it.

Excellent book on this subject. Shows why Calvin is just Augustine warmed over. Be sure to look up all of the Scripture references for the full blessing.

This book clearly states why a person should not succumb to Calvinism ... which is a very, very dangerous lifestyle.

I was disappointed in ths book. Ruckman's critical, accusatory,name-calling style didn't do much to enrich me theologically. He made some wonderful points and offers a great explanation of the flaws of Calvinistic 'doctrine.' However,these could easily be overshadowed by the lack of tact he exhibits while making those points. Speaking passionately and frankly doesn't necessitate speaking boorishly and condescendingly. If you can see past the arrogance, Ruckman gives a good biblical rebuttal to TULIPers....But you have to look very closely....

most of Ruckmans books are not very well researched and just seems like lots of name calling. I know he has lots of devotees but I cannot agree on his KJV stand with correcting the Hebrew and greek

In the past, I have purchased the repair manual from the manufacturer, but Toyota no longer supplies these. I knew when I bought this manual that it would not be as complete, or as useful as what I have had in the past, and it isn't. But, it will do in a pinch, and since I don't plan to take on any really advanced work, it will probably be more than adequate for my needs.

Don't be fooled into buying this manual and the Chilton manual - they are word for word identical and are published by the same publisher. Also, it is missing some key information such as the differential fluid capacity for the 2006+ PreRunner 4.0L 2WD Auto trans - this is just one example. The Chilton manual is missing the same information.I was hoping for so much more than what this manual provides. They always seem to focus on full engine rebuilds. These engines will go 250K miles with simple routine maintenance as long as they are not abused. Not many people are going to need to do engine rebuilds these days as engines are built to much tighter tolerances and hold together a very long time. Car manuals need to evolve, they have not changed format of content since the 60's or 70's. There used to be a publisher that published a manual call The Motors Manual. You would buy a Motors manual specific to you car and they were very good - nothing like that exists anymore.This manual will help you with a few things so it is not a waste just don't expect it to be very complete.

Nice manual. You need to carefully read through all sections in the chapter before beginning work since it is structured for different procedures in each section. Brake service is a good example, but all the info I needed was there as well as torque specs for various nuts and bolts.

Good purchase since there's not much available on these trucks. Could have been more thorough although I'm happy to have it.

Everything you need to know from major rebuilds down to routine oil changes. Good pictures and easy to follow. Must have for anyone that works on their own vehicle.

Can not find these books at the auto parts stores anymore. This book comes in handy when doing maintenance on my truck. Better than looking it up in the users manual. This is a must for any DIY person who works on their truck.

It will not go wrong with a typical auto repair manual from Haynes Pub. Got this one to work on my Tacoma pickup truck. I had had manufacturer manual for my other cars that I had before. To compare, this manual paper quality and drawing illustrations cannot compare with the manufacture one, by it is good enough to know what to do. Unless you opt for a nice, original service manual from the dealer, I think this one is good enough. As the old saying, you get what you pay for. I think I will keep it around for as long as I have my Tacoma.

I bought Dirt: A Love Story thinking that it was written primarily for gardeners and naturalists, but it has a variety of subjects including soil science, personal loss, gardening, philosophy, even humor that make Dirt a surprise and great read. But with all its diversity, a continuous thread of thought exists in this book that’s expressed by author Barbara Richardson, “The artists, scientists, and authors in Dirt: A Love Story drag you outdoors, scuff your knuckles, and muddy your feet. They make dirt live and breathe again.”

This book took me on an adventure through all things dirt. It was hard to put down! It travels from everyday dirt experiences then delves into the science of dirt. It was very unexpected!!

Dirt—or what scientists call "soil" when we're being snooty—is the underground ecosystem that plant roots know as well as leaves and stems know sunlight. It's an under-appreciated world critical to all life on earth.Dirt: A Love Story hooked me with the opening lines of novelist Pam Houston's Foreword:"I live on 120 acres of dirt in a high mountain meadow in the Eastern San Juan Mountains in south central Colorado, near the headwaters of the Rio Grande. A woman named Dona Blair sold me these acres for 7 percent down and a signed copy of my first book, Cowboys are My Weakness, because, she said, she liked the idea of me, and 7 percent down was all I had. I didn't have a job, either, or three pages of a new book to hold together. But my father was a hustler and he taught me to be a hustler and so for the next twenty years, I accepted every writing assignment and every teaching assignment that I was offered, and several more that I wasn't offered but had to go out and rustle up. I found this book almost useless as I traveled through both islands. Really disappointed. Aimed at those who are interested in "doing" the standard tourist traps. There is some much more to New Zealand than is even hinted at in this book.

Used this for our honeymoon to both islands, in conjunction with NZ Frenzy. Found the maps helpful and there were decent details about landmarks. Wish they had more info on hikes and interesting sights.
