This is an excellent review of the most recent work on the PAI. Each chapter is structured in a similar way (explanation of the setting, interpretation of test validity and interpretation, implications for treatment planning and feedback, and a case example). This would make a great textbook for a course on the PAI, or for a professional looking to come-up-to-speed on the test..My only complaint is with the ~Kindle version~ of the book. It omits the table of contexts and the index, and so to find specific information, you have to open the search form, enter your terms, and click the first result. The search form covers part of the page, and so you have to close the search form, read the text it covered, open the search form again, enter your search terms again... for every result. This is pretty annoying.

The Big Hero 6 manga is based off the hit movie Big Hero 6 and it should be pointed out there are a lot of differences between the movie and the manga.Without spoiling the storyline for you, the readers, here are some differences:the manga shows Hiro looking much younger than his fourteen years and is a lot less mature than his movie counterpart. He is very shy and tries to cover that shyness by being a brat.The storyline for volume one focuses more the relationship between Tadashi and Hiro, showing bits and pieces of their past and has extra chapter as to why Tadashi built Baymax.Callaghan appears to look much younger and more handsome in this manga than his movie counterpart.The characters display much more emotion and are shown to have more flaws than they had in the movie.All in all, volume one of Big Hero 6 is a great start for a great new series for both fans and newcomers alike!

This story is so cute, I'm waiting on the second one now. I'd recommend this story to Danny who wants so see a different approach to the Big Hero 6 movie. Although before anyone buys this for a kid please be aware of the following:It's a "manga", which is different from english/American graphic novels, so that means your read from right to left. (I saw some reviews complaining about this)It's in black and white, (Yay imagination ^^ )The story follows along the same timeline of the movie but it has a 'different' approach to everything, including introducing the characters.

The product came in perfect condition and very timely. The issue I have is they changed the story but in very not good way. Like Hiro is uncomfortably attached to his brother and they made Callahan’s daughter to a child, so they’re using an actual child for their dangerous experiments. Those are my first two big issues with it but there really isn’t much to say positive about it in general.

A really good read. This manga is similar to the movie but has its own differences, twists and turns which makes it stand apart. Give it a shot!

There were many things about the plot which were changed in the book that I though were stupid, created unnessicary plot holes, and made the characters less likeble.

If your a fan of the movie Big Hero 6 then this is for you!! the story here is a bit different from the movies and has a small special feature on how and why Tadashi decides to create Baymax,while Hiro here looks younger and is really stubborn which makes him cuter.i cried a bit while reading it even though im a teenager but im a huge fan of the movie,cant wait next book to come out which hopefully will be soon.

I bought this for my daughter for her 12th birthday. She absolutely LOVES this story and this way of storytelling. Super excited for #2 to come out in the fall.

Adorable alternate version of the Big Hero 6 story. More backstory of Hiro and Tadashi's relationship growing up,and VERY different circumstances around Tadashi's "death". Eager to read the next part.

This is the first of three books describing the experiences of the 101st LRP (long range patrol) teams or "lurps" of the 101st Airborne Division in Vietnam.This book, book one, describes the lurp team associated with the 1st brigade detachment of the 101st division which preceeded the whole division in Vietnam by about a year.The book provides a brief introduction to the soldiers who made up the initial teams and then goes into stories about specific missions and what happened to this soldiers, primarily in the 1966-1967 timeframe.I found some of the stories about actual missions very interesting but some were quite anticlimactic. This may be because I have already read several books about LRP and LRRP in Vietnam.On the whole, it was a pretty good book, but I thought it could be a little better written (or perhaps better edited).

This was a really good book filled with lots of action by some very brave men. What I found really interesting was the men that volunteered to be KEEPs and what happened to them after they disbanded and went on with their lives, either continuing to fight in Vietnam or even eventually during in future battles. Thanks for the enjoyable read.

Interesting stories about true heroes. And with all due respect to the service of the author, just don't think book overall is well written, format-wise. Disjointed, doesn't flow. Sorry.

My sons, ages 7, 13, and 15 all love Lego. We have a huge bin of Lego that they build from. 1000's of pieces. For this book, technic bricks are required for most of the projects. Though the projects are not made of all technic bricks. We purchased the specific technic pieces for the projects, a lot of them are used in multiple projects. You can go to a Lego store to purchase specific parts or you can get them through online sources. We spent $50 on buying a fair selection of the technic bricks for the book, but if you have technic pieces you may not need to by them.I like this series of books put out by Sarah Dees. This particular one has some great ideas to build. My 7 year old son built the Wind-Up Catapult this morning with a little help from his 15 year old brother. They both problem solve when using the book. Usually we can never find the exact brick, color, or parts for the entire project so they problem solve by modifying the idea with what they can find. My 15 year old used his knowledge and created the Wind-Up part with technics but differently then how the book showed and the 7 year old made the rest with whatever color of pieces he could find. I feel these books encourage problem solving and improvisation.I would highly recommend this book for those who are ok with improvising and problem solving to make something work when you don't have the exact pieces the book calls for. It is a great tool to give them ideas of what to build, how to build it and then watch them figure out how to make it from what they do have.I would NOT recommend this book for those who must follow all the directions to perfection and are not able to make modifications as needed. It gives great ideas and good directions, but it can be hard to have all the exact parts needed.One of the cons in this series of books is that the pictures of the builds are small. The author has told me that this is because the publisher wants to get as much in the book as possible, but this can create problems when you are trying to figure out exactly where some of the pieces go. On the other hand, it can bring up opportunities to learn thinking and problem solving skills.Bottom line, if you have kids who like to problem solve, are OK with not making something exactly as shown, and have a good selection of technic pieces then this book would be great for them. It will give them some good ideas of things to make.However, if you don't like to problem solve, want everything to be exactly as the directions say, and don't have technic bricks or the means to buy technic bricks then this book probably isn't for you.P.S. This book keeps my 7 year old occupied for hours because he has to sort through tons of legos to find the right pieces.

I bought this book looking for great Lego building ideas. The book has fabulous ideas! However, despite having about 3,000 Legos in our house, we don't have the specialized pieces to complete hardly any of the Lego ideas in this book.

My son received this for Christmas, and he LOVES it! He gets up every morning and goes straight to our Lego center and begins building something from this book. We are all quite impressed with the variety of things he's built with the Lego he has on hand, thanks to the directions. Our family favorite is the step machine. Our son added a power function to it, and now it turns on its own!

I loved the idea of this book, however finding the exact pieces has been impossible to do in a reasonable about of time for myself and my son. Hard to find simple builds without very exact pieces

This is a great book if you have a sizable LEGO collection or, go to BrickOwl.com and get extra pieces. (You need to know that pieces are not numbered, identified only by words). Print in the book was incredibly tiny and and instruction pictures were small and blurry. I’m disappointed because my 7-year old granddaughter and I were looking forward to making the robots. We finally put one together, but only after waiting for the missing pieces we didn’t have and much frustration with the instructions.

Not many cool choices but not to bad for a bored day at home

Fantastic book to help my free spirit builder learn to build from “blueprints.” Suggested to me as a first step into learning robotics in the LEGO First League. We love this book.

I wanted my 9 year old to love this so he could use that mountain of Legos in his room for something. He built a couple of the ideas but he said he was missing most of the pieces to do the others. Ugh. Sadly this is probably at the bottom of the pile of Legos as I write...

Patrick Madrid wrote a carefully researched book refuting slurs against the Catholic Church, the Magisterium, and false history. Madrid had the advantage of careful documentation and languages (Greek, Hebrew, and Latin). Madrid also had the advantage of being a good historian who could make connections and valid theses to support his book.Madrid began this book with a careful study of St. Peter's status as Pope. He carefully explained the sublties of St. Peter's name based on Greek and Hebrew languages. In other words, the Catholic authorities had a basis for considering St. Peter as the first Pope. Madrid even referred to Father Jaki (1924-2009) to substantiate Madrid's claim of St. Peter as Pope. Father Jaki was a well physicist and mathematician.Madrid did not conceal the fact that St. Peter was rebuked in New Testament literature. Madrid made the point that St. Peter was rebuked for misunderstanding and his actions rather than his teaching. Yet, St. Peter was important in New Testament literature as his name appears 195 times. When anti-Catholics cite St. Peter's weaknesses, Madrid was quick to show that many biblical heroic figures had weaknesses such as David.Madrid had fun with those who associate the number 666 with the Papacy. In the first place, the actual name for the Papacy via Roman numerals would add to 214. The 666 came from a mistake in the Pope's title which was finally corrected by editors early in the 20th. century. Madrid showed his knowledge of geography. The Vatican IS NOT in Rome. It is located across the Tiber River and is not offically a part of Rome. St. John's Revelation referred to the Emperor Nero and not to the Vatican.Madrid further demonstrated that the Papacy was the teaching authority as early as 80 AD. Pope St. ClementI(88-97)was recognized as the leader of the early Catholic Church. The point is that the early Catholic Church was in place with the Pope as the teaching authority. This is not to say that everyone agreed with the Pope's teaching authority, and Madrid cited early Church councils who deliberated points of theology, canonization of the Bible, etc. Madrid did not demand that readers agree with Catholic teaching, but he showed that decisions were carefully and thoughtfully made.Another myth that Madrid exploded was the myth of Pope Joan. Madrid was clear there NEVER was a Pope Joan. Madrid examined sources which indicated that Pope Sergius (904-911) may have referred as Pope Joan because Pope Sergius was supposedly influenced by women. Another possibility was Pope John VIII (872-882) was designated as a Pope Joan because he was a very weak Pope. The myth of Pope Joan emerged c. 1350 and then "gained steam" during the Reformation as propaganda.Madrid did an excellent job re Galileo (1564-1627). According to the transcripts and records, Galileo was NEVER tortured. He was not kept in a dungeon and resided in Niccolini's palacial estate. Niccolini was Turin's ambassador to the Vatican. Readers should note that Pope Paul V (1605-1621) honored Galileo in a public ceremony in 1610. Pope Urban VIII (1623-1644)also honored Galileo in 1624 via a public ceremony. Galileo had trouble because he tried to introduce his heliocentric theory as a substitute for the Bible. The Catholic Church authorities never interferred with the heliocentric theory as long as it was theory. At the time, Galileo could not prove his theory because of paralax, and he did not have a modern telescope. His theory of ocean tides was wrong. Galileo thought tides were due to the earth's rotation when we now know tides are due to the gravitation of the moon. Madrid could have added that while Galileo was honored by Popes Paul V and Urban VIII, Galileo was ungrateful and disrectful toward his benefactors.Madrid exploded another myth re the Popes and slavery. The only time the Popes did not condemn forced labor occured when Turkish POWs worked while they were prisoners. The following Popes issued severe condemnations and stinging rebukes against slavery:Pope Alexander VI (1492-1503)Pope Paul IV (1534-1549)Pope Benedict XIV(1740-1758)Pope Leo XIII (1878-1903)The list could continue. The condemnations were stern and very clear.Madrid had an interesting chapter re Papal Infallibility. Madrid carefully and clearly explained that Papal Infallibility only referred to matters of Morals and Faith. What should be known is that too often the claims of Papal Infallibility were exaggerated to mean something that was never intended. This doctrine was carefully decided and was questioned until the concept was clarified.The last chapter of the book demolished the myth of Hitler's Pope re Pope Pius XII (1939-1958). One of the Catholic criticims of the Hitler regime was titled Mit Brennender Sorge (With Burning Anxiety) which was a scathing denounciation of the Hitler regime's ideology and was written by Cardinal Eugenio Pacelli-the future Pope Pius XII. Madrid cited the NEW YORK TIMES praise of Pope Pius XII's Christmas messages in 1941 and 1942 attacking racism and war which was clearly aimed at the Hitler regime. Madrid cited the Jewish historian Pinchas Lapide's book titled THREE POPES AND THE JEWS which had high praise for Pope Pius XII's rare courage and aid he gave to Jewish refugees as early as 1940. Madrid cited Einstein's (1879-1955)praise of the Catholic Church in the December 23, 1940 edition of TIME (pages 38-41). Madrid examined the comments and praise of Rabbi Israel Zolli and Rabbi Herzog both of whom were the Chief Rabbi of Rome at different times. Madrid also cited sources of Pope Pius XII's work "world wide" to help refugees many of whom were Jewish and who later showed undying gratitude to Pope Pius XII.Madrid's book is based on serious scholarship and a sense of humor. The book is clearly written. This reviewer' only criticism of the book is that Madrid should have included Sir Martin Gilbert's books in defense of Pope Pius XII. Gilbert is a Jewish historian. Ignore the one star reviews, they are just mad that they have no answers to what this book contains. Excellent refutation of all the common fallacious arguments put forward by enemies of The Church.

Excellent apologetic work. Ranging from 2 or 3 pages to 10 or 15 for each "Pope Fiction" easily digestible bites for the casual reader. Well defended with historical sources and actual papal documents. Much of the defense is as the old quote goes about hating what you think the Church is versus not really when you know what the Church really is. This is really well written and well developed. A sense of humor and the sacred mixed together.

Clear, concise, humorous and well-balanced. This book presents excellent explanations about the myths of the Catholic papacy and answers many questions about it.

I delightfully found Patrick Madrid's book to be an excellent and clear, to the point understanding of issues that could easily get clouded over by historical misunderstanding. Mr. Madrid's obvious grasp of such sometimes confusing history and the theological framework underlying many of the issues makes this an excellent sourcebook to start from in understanding things as they happened without historical misunderstanding that can easily result from this kind of material. I applaud the skill with which he conveys the heart of the issues and uncovers the reasons why misunderstandings would happen about such issues.

I've not been particularly versed in the arguments between the papal detractors and the papal apologists, so this book was a good introduction to issues that arise in this argument. Madrid has done his research and often does a wonderful job of examining the bible, and how it relates directly to the papacy today. He takes pains to show how, even though the word Pope is never used in the Bible, the concept that began with Peter is valid through the ages.At the same time, the book is often frustrating. Madrid charges his opponents with lies begot from splitting hairs and interpretations. But often to defend the Papacy, he must resort to the same splitting of hairs for his cause. Sometimes the counter arguments border on "well yes, it is true, but that misses the point which is..." In his final chapter on the role of Pius XII and the Jews in World War II, while he makes some very good points and brings up facts that I was not aware of, shows the shortcoming of this book. The charges and rebuttals are almost too well chosen and written, so when he refutes the myths, he keeps his scope so narrow on the text of the misconception that sometimes his writing addresses the specifics without looking at the general argument. While a gross simplification - some of his arguments hinge on interpretations that are reminiscent of Clinton's denial of a relationship with Monica Lewinsky - cutting on semantics.Some of his rebuttals are extremely well written and certainly put to lie the charges as being false. But I wish he had kept to those, instead of some of the responses that required more narrow focus and verbal gymnastics. Still, and excellent resource on this topic.
